Many people confuse mindset with attitude, so let’s get those definitions clear first thing.

Attitude is defined by the dictionary as the “manner, disposition, feeling, etc. with regard to a person or thing; the tendency or orientation, especially of the mind”.
So basically, an attitude is how you think or feeling about a person or thing. 

Mindset, on the other hand, is defined as a “set of attitudes and beliefs held by someone”. 
So, your mindset is a collection of your thoughts and beliefs and this collection affects your habits and behaviors, and how you react to the world around you. 

If you want to change your life, you have to change your mindset. 

Changing your mindset is completely possible if you have the right tools and practices in place to do so. How many times have you tried to make changes in your life, only to go back to old habits within a few days? It’s not that you’re a failure, it’s that you didn’t have the foundational practices needed to make the shifts. 

The right foundational tools will make shifting your mindset, and thus your entire life, possible…and it doesn’t have to be hard.

In working with 1000s of patients in my Integrative Medicine practices and coaching my colleagues to start their own practices, I’ve seen one main difference between those who meet their biggest intentions and those who don’t. That difference is mindset.

Those who adopt supportive and regular mindset practices are able to believe in themselves in whatever endeavors they’re taking on or the habits they’re wanting to change. They develop regular and consistent daily rituals to support what they want to do and who they want to be.

And, I find this all true in my own life, as well. Mindset work is not about positive thinking. It’s about centering yourself in a way that allows you to ride the tides of whatever life brings. It allows you to more easily glide through the tsunamis and celebrate the low tides.
